BackSync 4.1 Released
Mimic Data continues its support for Virtual Server backup by adding Hyper-V backup. Now BackSync Backup supports VMware and Hyper-V virtual computer backups. Later this year we will be adding Xenserver to round out support for the top three hypervisors. As always, there is no additional cost to you or your customers for added features.
Automatic updates will be pushed out from the BackSync Server the client computer reports to. You can manually install the update by downloading the 4.1 patch from http://www.backsync.net/downloads. Version 1A is for clients that were installed from 4.0 forward. Version 1B is for client installations that were done prior to version 4.0
BackSync Backup v4.2 is coming soon
4.2 will have support for true incremental VHD based image backup. Disk images are backed up directly in VHD format and therefore the backup can be directly launched as a VM without having to convert it. Also, only incrementally changed blocks are backed up reducing backup time and bandwidth. Here are the main features included in this release
